Get to Know Rachel King
Rachel King, a recent graduate in BA (Hons) Textile Design from Arts University Plymouth, is a screen printer whose designs are influenced by mark making. King creates designs and prints that have a bold, graphic look, perfect for both interiors and fashion. Rachel is inspired by her natural surroundings from her family home in the countryside of Wiltshire, whether it's indoors or outdoors, King will always find a way to create marks with found objects to create screen printed collections that are sophisticated, textural and tactile through hand techniques, with the aid of new digital ways of textile design.

Collection Curation
Passionate about creating aesthetically pleasing and eye catching collections, Rachel has a keen eye for detail and narrowing down designs into a successful outcome for clients and given briefs. With each design produced by Rachel herself, through mark making or ink drawings, she knows which designs will compliment each other the best without overpowering on another to create a successful collection for any potential market.
Mark Making
A strong mark maker, Rachel initially works with found objects to create bold, graphic look within her innovative printed designs, to then take them digitally to manipulate into repeat designs ready for exposing onto screens. Rachel has a bank of mark making designs ready for use within potential collections and clients in the future.
